OPTIMAX-CROSS is a range of energy-efficient compact air handling units that incorporate the latest thermal and ventilation technology.
The units consist of a basic section, a water or DX cooling coil section, and a section for sound attenuators. The high-efficiency counter flow heat exchanger enables the recovery of thermal energy from exhaust air with up to 90% efficiency. Additionally, the high-efficiency fans with EC motors are used to minimize electricity consumption. The double-skin panels are 50mm thick and insulated with mineral wool to reduce heat loss to the environment. They also provide excellent acoustic insulation for the working fans. The OPTIMAX-CROSS air handling units come fully pre-wired with a built-in, pre-configured control panel.
This AHU series includes 8 sizes with air flows of 250 up to 10,000 m3/h. They are designed for use in ventilation and
air conditioning systems in public, residential, and industrial buildings.

The high-efficiency fans with EC motors are used to minimize electricity consumption.
The use of Plug&Play control systems for air handling units provides comfort at the lowest possible running costs, as well as safety and monitoring of the operation of control devices against damage.
The implemented quality policy, together with the system of supplier selection and evaluation, guarantees repeatability and high quality of products confirmed by, among others ISO, TUV, PZH, NATO certificates.
The OPTIMAX-TOP ductless air handling units are currently available in a standard version.
All configurations of these ductless air handling units are available as 3D BIM models for use by design professionals.

More information on the product
Casing design of OPTIMAX-CROSS air handling units is based on a framework of aluminium profiles. The casing is composed by 50 mm thick double-skin panels made of galvanised sheet steel filled with mineral wool. Inspection panels are hinged and closed by panel blocks or handles. The base frame for each size is constructed using steel profiles.
The parameters below are provided in accordance with EN 1886:
– Mechanical Strength –class D1 – Casing Air Leakage – class L1 – Filter Bypass Leakage – F9 – Thermal Transmission – class T3 – Thermal Bridging Factor – TB1
Description of the air handling units components:
Superfine bag filter, 48 mm thick, in the air supply, class F7
Superfine bag filter, 48 mm thick, on the exhaust, class M5

Controls for OPTIMAX-CROSS units
The use of Plug&Play control systems for air handling units provides comfort at the lowest possible running costs, as well as safety and monitoring of the operation of control devices against damage.
The purpose of such systems is to limit the human impact as much as possible to the direct operation of these systems, so that the operator role is only limited to setting the required parameters. The rest is provided by the automatic control system, which adapts to both indoor conditions and changing outdoor conditions.
Control components (sensors, pressure switches, …) and actuators (valves, actuators, …) cooperate with a freely programmable controller (equipped as standard with an open Modbus RTU communication protocol (RS-485) or optional: LON Works, BACnet IP, Ethernet, Modbus TCP / IP), which is configured based on the requirements of the client (project).
PSP provide the correct selection of air handling units, display all necessary parameters, and allow you to print out a report summarising the selection. This solution offers customers a professional and comprehensive service that saves time. The programmes allow for the selection of nearly all of our products.
